Hideo Kojima Confirms OD Development Is Back on Schedule
Hideo Kojima has provided an update on his OD project as his relationship with XBOX expands.
XBOX recently strengthened its partnership with Kojima Productions, agreeing to help publish the legendary developer’s PHYSINT project after PlayStation dropped it. Kojima shared the OD update himself as part of XBOX’s showcase at the Tokyo Game Show.
OD Resumes Production With Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer

Regarding OD, Hideo Kojima said performance capture, dialogue, and other sound recordings were paused during the SAG strike. However, it has resumed this year, and production is now proceeding on schedule. He also says that Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer have been delivering intense performances that he’s excited for the audience to see.
Performance capture and ADR recording, which had been paused during the SAG strike, resumed this year, and production is proceeding on schedule. Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and the team have delivered intense and outstanding performances, which I can’t wait for you all to see.

The most recent update on OD came in June of this year, when it was reported that the project was safe from being cut as part of XBOX’s wider reset.
As he typically does, Kojima is hopeful this project will go beyond what is already perceived. In this case, he’s hoping to establish a new limit of fear.
The actual release date for OD has yet to be revealed. Insider Gaming will continue to monitor the story and report any updates as more information becomes available.
