Procedural Spider-Man-Like Web Shooting Setup

Spider-Man-Style Web Shooting Setup In Blender

amsy3d plans to release it for free.

3D Artist amsy3d seems to be working on a cobweb add-on for Blender and shared this demo as part of the project. At the end of the video, notice the color changes: it's a tension heatmap material that shows how much the web is stretching, going from blue when relaxed to red when it's close to tearing.

The artist mentioned that the setup is intentionally stylized: "I made it look like web-fluid rather than natural web silk, but it still can be adjusted to make it more natural." It's also reportedly running in real-time, the solver uses GPU compute through Blender's native module, with no CUDA or extra dependencies, so it just steps live while you play.

amsy3d plans to release this project for free on Gumroad, so keep an eye out for it. In the meantime, you can check out some of the earlier demos shared by the artist:

If you're into physics effects in Blender, Hurricane is a new physics engine worth checking out. It lets fluids, cloth, soft bodies, and materials like sand interact together in the same simulation.
