Add Stylized Underwater Effects To Your VRChat Avatar
The shader works with hair, bodies, and clothing and is very customizable.
Another week, another cool creation from the VRChat community. This is AquaGlow, a custom shader by kitakazepyupyu built on top of lilToon, a feature-rich toon shader widely used for VRChat avatars. AquaGlow offers a range of adjustable settings, including colors, wave size, and animation speed, giving plenty of room to customize the effect.
Please note that lilToon must already be installed for this shader to work. It's also made for the PC version of VRChat only and won't work correctly on Quest/Android.
First, set the material's Shader to "AquaGlow/lilToon", then add your own gradient mask image. The included manual goes into more detail and explains what each setting does. You can choose from several effects, including Mist, Bubbles, Glitter, Sparkles, and Caustics.
