Grand Theft Auto VI trailer announced for Netflix with timed exclusivity period
It sounds like fans will finally get to see the action title's gameplay as it will appear on their consoles later this year.
Rockstar Games first unveiled Grand Theft Auto VI with its debut trailer back in 2023, and that was before all the delays that hit the title. Then in 2025, a second trailer was surprise dropped for fans. Now, with the release date finally on the horizon, it's time for a third reveal, and this one will be a different experience.
Rockstar says that this showcase will be an extended look at the game. It sounds like fans will finally get to see the action title's gameplay as it will appear on their consoles later this year, instead of the cinematic trailers that have landed so far.
Interestingly, this Grand Theft Auto VI deep dive will premiere on Netflix for subscribers first, with it slated to go live on Thursday, August 27 at 3 p.m. ET. There is already a dedicated page set up for the showcase on the platform too.

As for non-Netflix subscribers, Rockstar says the extended showcase will be available on its YouTube channel and the Grand Theft Auto VI website on the same day at 9 p.m. ET. Essentially, there is a six-hour exclusivity period for this trailer on Netflix.
There is a high chance of re-streams and reuploads of the showcase on other platforms during this six-hour period, though Rockstar will probably be hoping to take those mirrors down as fast as possible until the exclusivity period is up.
If the latest release date holds firm, Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on November 19, 2026 across Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. This will be a digital-only release, with even the physical box only coming with a code to download the game. No plans for a PC version has been announced yet.
