In This Game, Your Job Is to Peel an Endless Pile of Potatoes

Someone has to do it.

There's an endless variety of simulation games – cooking, cleaning, sewing, a video store sim, car repair, car washing, renovation, mushroom foraging, and more, but this one is probably the one you didn't expect at all.

Meet a new simulation game – a satisfying first-person game with real physics, where you peel an endless supply of spuds. Potato Please from Golden Horn Studios is in development, and the release date hasn't been set yet.

The job is routine and simple: peel the potatoes and put them into water. No pressure, but you have to feed an entire army. The gameplay recreates the drill in detail: you need to pick the root vegetables up, peel them by hand, and toss them in one by one.

"Congratulations, Comrade. The nation has entrusted you with a vital responsibility: keeping the army fed. Peel the potatoes, prepare the supply, and improve your operation in service of the greater good. Work hard, work efficiently, and remember: the army is hungry."

Nobody prohibits you from automating the routine, though: you can fashion much faster ways to conduct the tedious work. As you progress and master the art of preparing vegetables for further cooking, you can turn your repetitive work into a system, collect potatoes in bulk, use machines to process them, and automate more tasks as your operation expands.

Take a behind-the-scenes look at the workflow behind the game's creation:
