10 Years Later, Star Wars' New Last Jedi Sequel Is Here, And It's 10/10 Perfect

Star Wars: The Last Jedi may be one of the most divisive films in the Star Wars universe, with some fans loving it and others hating it. As previously mentioned, the movies dropped the ball in showing Kylo in his new role as Supreme Leader, and the comic series is already rectifying that, as is evident in the first issue. Without spoiling anything, one thing fans of the movie will appreciate is how this comic deepens their understanding of Kylo's scenes in the movie while also delving into the broader instability left in the wake of Snoke's death.

As seen above, the synopsis claims this is “essential reading for every Star Wars fan,” and it's hard to argue with that, since this series is doing exceptional heavy lifting by filling a major gap left by the films. The fact that Charles Soule is the one writing it makes this all the more of a must-read for fans, given that Soule has proven time and time again that he knows these characters and can deliver on fan expectations, as seen in his Darth Vader (2017) run and The Rise of Kylo Ren, which is also essential reading for Kylo Ren fans.

While we still have four issues to go in Star Wars: The Fall of Kylo Ren, the first issue is already an exceptionally strong start, especially for a series that comes with so many fan expectations. But with Soule spearheading this series, we're convinced that this will be another iconic chapter in Kylo Ren's Star Wars legacy.
