More actors were revealed.
Australian actor Uli Latukefu, known for Young Rock, Black Adam, and MaXXXine, has landed the role of the iconic villain Ganondorf in the Legend of Zelda live-action film, according to Deadline.
The live-action film was announced in 2023, under the direction of Wes Ball, and with Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad as producers, but it wasn't until 2025 that Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Bo Bragason were announced as the actors for Link and Princess Zelda.
According to Deadline, a source also revealed that Sam Neill filmed for an unknown role before his death. Dichen Lachman, known for Severance, and Yvonne Strahovski, known for The Handmaid's Tale, are other additions to the cast.
The source didn't specify Strahovski's character; they only said that she will portray a queen, while Lachman will portray Impa, the bodyguard and advisor to Princess Zelda.
The movie was set to be released on May 7, 2027, but in May of 2026, Miyamoto announced that the date had been moved to April 30, 2027, so the team could release the movie worldwide as soon as possible.
