The Elder Scrolls 6 Gameplay Has Been Shown To Xbox's CEO
The Elder Scrolls 6 Is Playable Enough For Asha Sharma To Praise The Story
Despite Bethesda having revealed The Elder Scrolls 6 nearly a decade ago at this point, rumors have suggested that we're still several years away from actually getting to play the incredibly anticipated open-world RPG for ourselves. In the wake of Xbox's new CEO cracking down on development studios like Bethesda for taking too long with their releases, however, we might be even closer to the release of TE6 than we previously thought.
Having recently visited Bethesda studios once more following Xbox's previous and highly controversial decisions to cut down on Bethesda's staff, Asha shared her thoughts on the experience after playing a demo of TE6, which offers nothing short of fantastic news for fans of the immersive fantasy series.
As posted on Asha's official X account, Xbox's CEO went on to say after her live playthrough of TE6 that "the scale and grandeur are incredible. The story is even greater." While the brief description is already promising on its own, the positive claims are even more exciting given how painfully little we know about the development progress of TE6 so far.
On top of Asha's praise, many fans have also been latching onto the fact that the Xbox CEO also seemingly teased the subtitle of TE6 as well, which is hinted at being an 8-character word, which was additionally backed by Bethesda's response in the comments thanking her for the visit. Although there's only so much to unpack from the title, it's the first official tease we've had since TE6 was announced all the way back in 2018.
Although we're likely still far off from getting an official release date for TE6, simply hearing that the upcoming RPG is not only in enough of a playable state to show it off to the current CEO, while also getting a significant amount of praise for the experience, the release of TE6 might actually be coming sooner than we think.
Considering Asha's praise seems to encapsulate everything that made the previous Elder Scrolls games so iconic in the first place, the remaining wait for TE6 is a little less stressful than how little was known beforehand, with only rumors and the occasional dubious leak to go off of.
With plenty of speculation over what TE6's subtitle could be, and hope rising that we might actually see a gameplay trailer within a reasonable window, it's hard not to get excited for the upcoming release of The Elder Scrolls 6, even for those who weren't satisfied with the direction that their brand-new universe of Starfield had to offer.
