NBA 2K26 and Ghost Recon games headline Xbox Free Play Days

Microsoft has just kicked off another Free Play Days promotion, and if you're an Xbox gamer, that means there are fresh games to try over the weekend. The latest offer is a pretty big one too, touting five titles. They are Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, NBA 2K26, Wax Heads, and Sports Renovations.

Most of the titles this time are free to all Xbox players without the need for a Game Pass subscription too.

From all of the games, a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential is only required for Sports Renovations, a simulator where you restore old gyms, courts, and pitches. All the remaining games can be played without any membership requirements.

Two of the titles, Ghost Recon Wildlands and Ghost Recon Breakpoint, are from Ubisoft, offering massive open worlds to take part in tactical co-op action with up to three friends.

If you're a sports fan, NBA 2K26 is here as well, letting you try the complete experience, including career, multiplayer, and more, until August 14. Cozy game enjoyers can also try out Wax Heads, a cozy-punk narrative sim where you work at a struggling record store giving recommendations to eccentric customers.

To easily find the titles on Xbox consoles, first head to the Store, and then in the sidebar, find the Home section. In there, open the Subscriptions tab. All the games from the Free Play Days collection will show up in this section for quick access.

Other than the NBA 2K26 offer, all of this week's Free Play Days promotions will end on Sunday, August 9, at 11:59 pm PT.
