Is the Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Collector’s Edition worth $350?

The collector’s edition features most of the content you get with the Premium Plus edition, aside from the 24-hour early access. Since this is priced at $109.99, the question then becomes if the physical items are worth the additional $240.

The statue will take up the bulk of this, and it really comes down to how fine the quality of it is. Many collectors statues are typically priced at around $200 to $400, so considering you also get the game and some extras with this does seem like a good deal.

However, low quality paintwork or sculpting can drive the value of this down, and it’s simply hard to tell from a promotional image how the statue will look in the final product. If you’re a massive Final Fantasy 7 fan, this might seem like a no brainer, but we can’t say for sure.

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is the third and final game in the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy, adapting the final hours of the original game.

It’s set to feature the remainder of the story from the Great Glacier chapter and culminating in the final stand against Sephiroth.

One particular feature added here is the Highwind, the massive airship that Cloud and his part can use to travel around the world in the original Final Fantasy 7. Here, it allows you to visit any part of the world, parachuting out Fortnite-style and landing pretty much anywhere for you to explore.

Expect the entirety of the Final Fantasy 7 cast to make appearances here, with Cloud, Barrett, Zack, Yuffie, Tifa, Aerith and Red XIII playable among many others.

FITS system explained

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation features a job system called FITS, allowing you to equip different outfits which give you new stats and abilities.

Among many options, your party members can choose to become a Warrior, with traditionally offensive skills and abilities, a Magic-focused Black Mage, the defensive Knight role who acts as a tank for the team, and a Summoner who can bring in additional support in fights.

The depth of this system hasn’t been truly shown off yet, but we imagine we’ll see more closer to launch.

Does Revelation carry over Remake or Rebirth progress?

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation does indeed feature save transfer bonuses if you have linked progress between this game and the previous two remakes.

We know of two DLCs that are coming for Final Fantasy 7 Revelation. The first one is called Sephiroth while the second is called Vincent & The Turks.
