Alien: Isolation 2 Prologue Demo Officially Confirmed

Alien Isolation 2

There's no doubt that Alien: Isolation is easily one of the most visceral and intense horror games of all time, putting players in a situation where most of the time their only option is to simply hide. The Xenomorph is also a uniquely terrifying extra terrestrial villain, and when it did release, it was easy to see how much potential there was for a sequel.

That sequel didn't materialize for a long time though, with Alien: Isolation 2 only getting an official reveal from the developer in June of this year, well over a decade since the original. It looks like a big upgrade as well, with spectacular visuals that should make the scares all the more intense. Now, it has emerged that the initial portion of the game is about to put on show for players for the first time.

Over on Reddit, one user shared a post confirming that Alien Isolation 2's prologue will be playable at Gamescom next week. The world's largest video game event is set to play host to all kinds of exciting titles next week, and developer Creative Assembly are bringing their big horror hit to the proverbial party.

As you might expect, there were plenty of fans in the responses waiting to see exactly what they have been cooking up, as well as speculating on what this might mean for an as-yet-unconfirmed release date.

"I agree, I think it will make October 2027 release. Especially with it being available to wishlist too, it's definitely further along than initially thought," one response read.

"If they have a demo already, and this game was announced back in late 2024 but was supposedly already in development before then, surely it's 100% releasing late next year then? I hope so because I really want this on physical. I want to buy whatever collector's edition or deluxe edition is released for this," another added.

While a third said, "Man, anytime I'm not thinking about it and then I see something about Alien Isolation 2, I get a smile on my face that I can't help. I'm just so glad it's happening and I'll likely be alive to see it."

Alien Isolation 2

There's no doubt that if any game can really take advantage of the advances in technology, then it's probably the Alien: Isolation sequel. Not only from a visual perspective, but also from the angle of the AI of the Xenomorph enemy, which was famously good at hunting players down and ending their digital lives.
