3D anime art is Aniket Rawat's specialty, and this isn't the first time we've featured his work on 80 Level: take a look at his interpretation of the iconic door from Suzume. Aniket doesn't limit himself to fan art, the project above is based on an original background by Yi Wenbiao.
For the texturing, he used Substance 3D Painter, with the rest of the scene created entirely in Blender:
