Download a set of 16 sliders from Maya's Animo.
If you follow our animation articles, you're probably familiar with Ehsan Bayatand his free Maya tools: Twosify, Pickify, Vectorify, and Animo, a handy toolkit for speeding up animation workflows and getting rid of repetitive tasks. It recently got a major update, so definitely check it out. And now, Ehsan has taken things a step further with a Blender version of the tool.
It's not a full version of Animo, though, but it includes 16 sliders from the original toolset. According to the developer, they work pretty much the same way as in Animo for Maya.
Animo Sliders for Blender is compatible with Blender versions 4.0 through 5.2. The sliders are:
- Tween;
- Blend to Neighbors;
- Scale Left;
- Scale from Right;
- Scale from Average;
- Scale from Default;
- Connect to Neighbor;
- Blend to Ease;
- Push/Pull;
- Blend to Default;
- Time Offset;
- Time Offset Stagger;
- Wave/Noise;
- Smooth/Harsh;
- Simplify/Bake;
- Blend to Infinity
Ehsan doesn't currently plan to recreate the full Animo package for Blender, but he might add more updates in the future. To use it, press K to open the sliders panel. You can also right-click the panel to access more options.
Animo Sliders is free for both commercial and non-commercial use. You can download it here.
