Deadpool & Wolverine's Massive Disney+ Record Officially Overtaken By 20-Year Legacy Sequel

A recent 20th Century Studios film now has the biggest movie premiere on Disney+ since Deadpool & Wolverine.

The Marvel flick found huge success when it was released in theaters in July 2024, with $690.8 million grossed at the box office, a Certified Fresh score of 77% on Rotten Tomatoes and a Verified Hot audience score of 94%. Deadpool & Wolverine then arrived on Disney+ four months later.

According to Variety, The Devil Wears Prada 2 reached 15.2 million views in the first five days it was available to stream on Disney+, which means it's the biggest film debut on the streaming platform since 2024, when Deadpool & Wolverine garnered 19.4 million views in its first six days.
