Jennifer loves TV, especially science fiction. She also loves late-night talk shows, due to her insomnia. Alien: Earth is definitely one of her favorite shows, and she jumps on any chance she gets to write about it. Even on her days off, she will claim an Alien Earth article if one is available.

Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon are two of her favorite late-night hosts, and Conan O'Brien before he left his show.

Her Alien: Earth coverage for ScreenRant is by far the work that she is most proud of so far.

She was initially a finance and political editor, but her passion for pop culture convinced her to transition into entertainment journalism.

During her off time, she loves to binge-watch cooking shows such as Kitchen Nightmares. Jennifer also loves spending time with her daughter and cherishes every moment of it.

The following contains spoilers for The End of Oak Street.

The End of Oak Street's original ending was significantly grimmer.

According to star Ewan McGregor, who portrayed Greg in The End of Oak Street, the film could have concluded on a considerably sadder note if they had used the original cut. The actor has revealed that the science fiction thriller originally ended with the Platt family facing an entirely different fate.

Written and directed by David Robert Mitchell, The End of Oak Street follows the Platts after a mysterious otherworldly event destroys their once-safe neighborhood. McGregor, Anne Hathaway (Denise), Maisy Stella (Audrey) and Christian Convery (Brian) are forced to fight for survival. They eventually get dragged into a prehistoric world filled with dinosaurs and other mysterious elements.

The version that was released in theaters ultimately gives the family an opportunity to alter what happened to Greg. After Greg appears to die while protecting Denise, the surviving members of the family use the story's time travel portals to intervene. Denise succeeds in saving Greg, allowing the character to survive the events of the film.

However, in an interview with USA Today, McGregor revealed that the creative team initially had another ending in mind for Denise and the children. In that version, when they go through the wormhole, they would not have returned to their own era. Instead, Denise, Audrey and Brian would go way too far back in time, where they would have ended up with early settlers. And, as a result, Greg would not have been saved.

McGregor stated that they ultimately changed the ending because they wanted The End of Oak Street to close on a more hopeful note. Instead of throwing Denise and her children into another conflict without Greg, they opted for a more positive outcome, giving the story a more definitive conclusion.

Upon first glance, the theatrical cut of The End of Oak Street seems to have a happy ending. But if viewers look a little closer, they will see that it still has complicated implications. By changing the circumstances surrounding Greg's fate, Denise could have potentially created another timeline of events where a different iteration of the family might have suffered their fate by taking the hit for them.
