GTA 6 to get "extended look" later this month with Netflix premiere

If you've been feeling the lack of new GTA 6 news since pre-orders went live, then strap yourselves in, as we're about to get a lot of it.

Since Trailer 2 released more than a year ago, we've not seen any new footage of the game, and we're still yet to see any gameplay, sparking plenty of anticipation for a third trailer.

And while not Trailer 3 per se, Rockstar Games has confirmed that we're about to get our best look at the game yet later this month.

In a post to Rockstar's official social media channels, they announced that "Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premieres on Netflix Thursday, August 27 at 3pm ET".

For those of us in the UK, that means 8pm BST, so keep your evening clear.

Interestingly, while the extended look is set to premiere on Netflix at the time above, the whole thing will be available on the Rockstar Games YouTube channel and official GTA 6 website only six hours later.

Rather annoyingly, Rockstar hasn't actually revealed any specifics about the extended look, meaning we have no idea what it will show off, nor how long it will be.

Typically, though, when studios do these kinds of extended showcases, it gives us a first look at a sequence of gameplay – think of the God of War Laufey reveal a couple of months ago.

If that's the case, it would be our first ever look at the gameplay of GTA 6, and perhaps give us a better look at the game's story.

Nevertheless, considering the amount of hype garnered by the two existing GTA 6 trailers, it seems safe to assume that millions are going to be firmly seated for whatever it is that Rockstar has cooked up for us.
