Walt Disney Studios has given fans a major glimpse at Disney's future with major announcements thanks to the Disney Entertainment Showcase panel at 2026 D23. While most studios rely on conventions or investor calls to make grand reveals about their upcoming slate of movies and TV shows, Disney has put itself in a unique position in recent years by making D23 a big event made exclusively for its in-house productions.
The fan-driven expo returns to California this year with days full of events and panels from August 14 through 16, highlighting the biggest movies, shows, and franchises of Disney's past, present, and future. But the biggest of them all is the Disney Entertainment Showcase, a single event that brings Lucasfilm, Pixar, Marvel Studios, 20th Century, and Disney's live-action and animation studios together for two hours of building hype for what's coming in the rest of 2026 and beyond.
