The Elder Scrolls 6 Official Live Gameplay Demo Has Fans Losing Their Minds
The Elder Scrolls is one of those series that will live on forever, even if it somehow stops dead in its tracks one day. It'll live on in the hearts and minds of fans and newcomers trying it out for the first time. Given how expansive the games are as a whole, you could feasibly just move from entry to entry and play them over the course of many months.
What hardcore fans want to play now, though, is The Elder Scrolls 6. Sadly, Bethesda hasn't really given us much concrete info on it since its reveal eight years ago, but we might be getting closer.
Now, thanks to a post on Reddit that sheds light on the fact that the Xbox executive managed to play The Elder Scrolls 6 early, fans are clamoring for more information, and wondering what kind of state the game is in.
After visiting Bethesda's offices to play The Elder Scrolls 6, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma had this to say: "Live playthrough of The Elder Scrolls VI: ******** this morning. The scale and grandeur are incredible. The story is even greater."
So this reveal is two-fold. One, it establishes that the game is playable in some form, even if it's a vertical slice/guided demo. Second, fans hope that the asterisks in the message correspond to letters and will spell out a subtitle for Elder Scrolls 6. Now, fans are speculating on if a playable build means they're making progress: "Doesn't this mean it's like nearly at the end of the development if she can talk about the story quality?"
A few folks are being realistic, but hopeful: "Of course just PR/soft marketing. One doesn't experience the story to a noteworthy extend in a live playthrough in the morning. However, I do believe they've made good progress and release isn't as far away as the uneducated scream. We're 3 years past Starfield almost, next year is very much on the table. They've been putting out their games on a good cycle."

It's this re - invent the wheel type approach that Bethesda has proven itself to be bad at. They need to focus on what they are good at - large scale land based maps that you can walk across and explore. This sea content will likely ruin the game and distract their efforts towards more important content."
Others are trying to decipher the asterisks in Sharma's message: "List of potential names: Tiberius, Malacath, 'High Rock', Guardian, Akatosh, Sentinel, Mundus, Dominion, Divinity, Redguard." While some are deciphering the rest of her message: "Interesting she talks about the Story being incredible. IMO one of the weakest parts of modern BGS since TES5 has been the stories. I hope BGS returns to its roots and are able to deliver on both the Storytelling AND Worldbuilding."
In any case, we're potentially years away from The Elder Scrolls 6, though it's possible that it could come out before then, especially given these recent revelations.
