Fortnite Five Nights at Freddy's Announcement is Now the Game's Most Liked Reveal Ever, Beating the Avengers and Dragon Ball Z

Epic Games' announcement of a Fortnite and Five Nights at Freddy's crossover has now become the battle royale's most-liked post of all time on social media.

Characters from Scott Cawthon's hit horror series will join Fortnite next month, in time for its annual Halloween shenanigans. Among FNAF fans, the excitement is definitely real — and enough to dethrone the confirmation of similar crossovers with all other major franchises.

At the time of writing, Epic Games' confirmation of FNAF has more than 312,000 likes, making it the account's most-liked post ever: more than Dragon Ball Z (282,000 likes), Naruto (214,000 likes), and Avengers: Infinity War (212,000 likes, all the way back in 2018).

The post has even been liked more than Epic Games' own reveal it would be bringing back the game's original map for an "OG" mode (216,000 likes).

A trailer for the collaboration appears to confirm that Freddy, Chica, Bonnie and Foxy will all gain Fortnite skins, alongside various other cosmetic items. A Five Nights at Freddy's in-game location will also be featured — and indeed, this pizza restaurant can already be found being built on the battle royale's Island map, acting as a teaser for the collaboration.

FNAF has long been one of the most fan-requested Fortnite crossovers, with hopes, dreams and plenty of memes anticipating its eventual arrival over the years. Originally launched in 2014, FNAF has expanded from a simple Steam game into a major franchise, with numerous sequels, spinoffs, novels and two major Hollywood movies.

If you'd like to go hands-on with Freddy in Fortnite for yourself, the skins are expected to launch later this week on October 1, when the annual Fortnitemares celebration kicks off. This is set to run longer than usual — for a full month, and essentially until the end of this year's Fortnite chapter. Fans then expect another mini-season to take place, similar to last year's beloved Simpsons takeover (top bets this year include a similar One Piece event.) After that, Fortnite is expected to relaunch yet again with its Chapter 8 incarnation, likely around the start of December.
