Henrik Evensen developed concept art and LookDev for the show using Blender.
Digital Artist Henrik Evensen showcased his work for the first season of Stranger Things: Tales from '85, revealing how he crafted concepts and LookDev for eerie forest scenes in Blender.
The artist developed the general look and feel of trees, bark textures, forests, and snow, working with Production Designer Ben Plouffe. Evensen expressed gratitude to him, the design team, and the Flying Bark team for the work on the project and described it as a "lovely experience."
Evensen previously worked on the 2019 animated film Klaus and the 2016 movie Department Q: A Conspiracy of Faith.

Stranger Things: Tales from '85 is an animated TV show and a spin-off of Netflix's Stranger Things, set between its second and third seasons. The creators of the original hit series, the Duffer brothers, Matt and Ross Duffer, and Shawn Levy, participated in the spin-off's production.
Tales from '85, taking place in Hawkins in the winter of 1985, follows a cast of the main characters, Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Will, and Max, facing unfamiliar monsters of the Upside Down. The show has two seasons: the first premiered on Netflix on April 23, 2026, and the second has just been released, premiering on September 17.
The animated show follows the likenesses of the actors who portrayed the main characters in the original series. Have a closer look at Eleven's design through the work of Character Artist Dmytro Danylov:
