Jenna Ortega and Natalie Portman's Sundance thriller will soon be in theaters!
Following its festival premiere in January 2026, Cathy Yan's (Birds of Prey, Dead Pigs) The Gallerist has been jointly acquired by Roadside Attractions and Vertical for distribution in the U.S. The movie will be released theatrically on December 4, 2026. Portman and Ortega lead a star-studded cast as a crafty but desperate gallery owner and her dedicated assistant in this twisty satire of the art world.
The Gallerist follows the aforementioned struggling art gallery owner who passes off a corpse as part of her latest show, leading to a spiraling chain of events: "Will she end up famous, a felon, or both?" queries the synopsis. The cast also includes Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Sterling K. Brown, Zach Galifianakis, Daniel Brühl, Charli XCX, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
