GTA 6 Extended Look charts huge ratings in opening few days on Netflix
Last Thursday, the biggest official look into GTA 6 premiered on Netflix in 26 minutes of unfiltered glory.
Beautiful graphics, incredibly detailed NPCs and a deeper look into the relationship of its dual protagonists, Lucia and Jason, had viewers glued to their screens in anticipation for arguably the biggest game of the year.
Titled Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look, the preview launched in the UK at 8pm, and – according to Variety – the trailer had topped 31.1 million views on Netflix globally after just four days.
Worldwide, the extended look was ranked number one on the English-language film list in 87 of the 93 countries that Netflix tracks.
The preview was also released a few hours later on Rockstar’s YouTube channel. At the time of writing, the extended look currently has 17.8 million views on the platform, with 1.4 million likes and more than 100,000 comments.
After a week of huge spoilers leading up to the premiere, following a leaker getting their hands on a build of GTA 6 – which prompted Rockstar to make a statement –the amount of attention An Extended Look has received is a clear indication that the leaks have had little impact on hype surrounding the game.
An Extended Look marks the third and quite possibly final trailer for GTA 6, and is a mammoth of content in comparison to the few minute snippets officially released previously.
