This 3D Artist Created Amazingly Detailed Rig For Bee Feet

Last week, we featured a tiny mosquito created by AhmadReza AfsharMoghadam, who modeled, textured, rigged, and animated it in amazing detail. If you want to see more of this kind of meticulous insect work, SinnersSAW has been sharing the process behind creating an animated 3D bee-like creature.

The attention goes all the way down to the tarsus and claws, the final parts of the insect's multi-segmented legs. According to the artist, it's 60% accurate to actual bee anatomy, with some "creative extrapolation" made to support a larger body mass and a more humanoid stance.

Take a closer look at one of the bee's many joints. SinnersSAW plans to use a real hair system to add even more detail and realism to this creature:
