First Fortnite Season 4 Power Hours Bring Boosted Golden Sprite Spawns & New Bonuses
We’re a few days into Fortnite Season 4, and so far, fans have been enjoying the gaming-themed goodness of Override. Though plenty of things are new this season, Sprites are here to stay. The next generation of Fortnite Sprites has begun, and it’s coming in with some solid options so far. Along with Sprites, the tradition of Saturday Power Hours has also returned this season. That means that today, August 22nd, marks our first Power Hour of Season 4. Fortnite Golden Hours are live as of 2 PM ET, with another round headed our way later today.
As its name suggests, today’s Golden Hour is all about the new Gold Sprite Variants. These Variants are a new addition for Season 4, and they just went live on August 21st. Now, players will have a better shot at actually finding one during today’s Golden Hours. Along with boosted spawn rates for Gold Sprite variants, the Power Hour will also add some other in-game bonuses. Here are all of the details you need to know to make the most of today’s Fortnite Golden Hours.
Fortnite Golden Hour Times & Bonuses
Fortnite Golden Hour will take place in two waves, with the same rough schedule as in Season 3. Each Power Hour will last for two hours, giving you a decent window of time to enjoy the bonuses. The first Golden Hours will run from 2 PM ET to 4 PM ET. The second wave of Golden Hours will be live from 9 PM ET to 11 PM ET. That’s two chances to enjoy the various bonuses on offer this time around. While the schedule is pretty much the same as last season, the bonuses have gotten a few changes.
During Golden Hours, Fortnite players will get the following bonuses:
- Additional Portable Extractor and 1-Up Token when dropping in
- Boosted spawn rates for Gold Sprite variants
- Boosted spawn rates for Midas’ Masterpiece Pistol, plus additional damage for headshots with the weapon
