Gundam: Silent Barrage Officially Arrives September 2026

Gundam seemingly has a never-ending supply of new projects to push out to the public. From video games, anime series, a trading card game, and, naturally, model kits, Gundam never quite leaves the zeitgeist, at least for long periods at a time. This is, of course, great news for long-term fans, as even if some of the projects don't quite land or veer too far away from the original intention of the anime, it still means something that potentially better resonates with fans looms on the horizon.

Such is the case with the latest Gundam project, a brand-new foray into the explosive, action-packed, and complex world of the anime that is designed to be the ideal jumping-on point for newcomers, or a great addition to long-term fans' collections. For those interested in Gundam, Silent Barrage is absolutely one to keep an eye on, especially as it is launching very soon.

Gundam covered in fire from Rogue Orbit

With the brand-new Gundam video game that seems purpose-built to introduce new fans to the legendary franchise releasing fairly soon, it makes sense for even more Gundam products aimed at fresh-faced mech fans to be released. This isn't anything new for Gundam, as it has dabbled with alternative entry points or re-releases of the original anime in numerous forms for quite some time. However, recently, the universe has gotten even more complicated, and several projects with overly long and confusing titles have been released. So, the logical move is to, once again, pare it all back a little.

The Gundam TCG was a good example of this, as it doesn't really rely on a former love or appreciation for Gundam specifically, but rather just great trading-card game mechanics and mechs in general. Bandai Namco has produced several waves of cards for the Gundam TCG alongside Starter Decks, products designed to onboard new players with easy-to-understand decks that come with all the accompanying literature to get started (hence the name).

Silent Barrage, one of many new Gundam Starter Decks releasing in September, is one such product, with its theming centering around overwhelming the board state with tokens, a fun mechanic that is a staple of any good TCG at this point. Coming in at just $15.99 (which is rather cheap compared to its competitors), this deck will have absolutely everything fans of the show or total newcomers need to understand what's going on and how to use their cardboard. Included is:

  • x1 Ready-to-play 50-card deck
  • x10 Resource Cards
  • x4 Token Cards
  • x1 Paper Damage Counter
  • x1 Rulebook
  • x1 Playsheet
  • x1 Bonus Pack

Silent Barrage is a red/green deck, with its standout cards being Qubeley and Haman Karn. There are plenty of other great cards included in the deck, all of which should synergize well with one another, but players are always encouraged to swap out anything that isn't working with better cards that they pull from packs. The Silent Barrage deck can be bought from the official Asmodee website or your local game store when it releases on September 25, 2026. With even more Gundam projects set to release soon, it's fair to say that fans will be kept very busy.
