Taylor Jenkins Reid’s 2027 Novel Enlists Sopranos & The L Word Alums For Star-Studded Audiobook
Taylor Jenkins Reid has a new novel coming out in 2027 called The Last Days of Vic & Coco, and she just revealed the actors who will be recording the audiobook.
The Last Days of Vic & Coco will be released on March 2, 2027. The story centers around pool hustlers Victoria Lucchese and Colette Wilson in the 1970s as they con men across the country. They share a close bond, but when they start hatching a new plan, they wonder how much they can actually trust each other.
With less than seven months to go until the novel's release date, Reid has announced (via People) details about the star-studded audiobook, which will be narrated by Julia Whelan and feature the voices of Jennifer Beals, Edoardo Ballerini and Danny Burstein.
The author explained that "every one of them brings something special to these characters, and together they've created a listening experience that's so much more than I ever imagined." She added that she feels very fortunate that "a cast of this caliber" chose to sign on to the project and bring her characters to life in audio format.

Whelan is no stranger to collaborations with Reid, as she narrated the audiobooks for several of her novels, including Atmosphere, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Malibu Rising and Carrie Soto is Back.
Beals lent her voice to Reid's Daisy Jones & the Six audiobook with Benjamin Bratt, Judy Greer and Pablo Schreiber. Outside of the audiobook world, Beals has starred in movies like Flashdance.
On the small screen, she's best known for playing Bette Porter on The L Word and The L Word: Generation Q. More recently, she's appeared in The Book of Boba Fett and Law & Order: Organized Crime, and will play Demeter in the upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3.
Ballerini's TV credits include the hit HBO series The Sopranos, 24, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Boardwalk Empire. He's also an audiobook narrator, having worked on such projects as The Prince, Beautiful Ruins, The Swerve, War & Peace and My Struggle.
Burstein, meanwhile, has not only appeared in movies like Tick, Tick... Boom! and the TV show Boardwalk Empire, but he's also a Broadway performer. Burstein has been nominated several times at the Tony Awards and won Best Featured Actor in a Musical for Moulin Rouge!
Taylor Jenkins Reid is a bestselling author whose most recent novel, Atmosphere, was No. 1 on the New York Times' bestsellers list and won the Goodreads Choice Award for Historical Fiction. The Last Days of Vic & Coco will be her first book since Atmosphere came out in 2025.
The Last Days of Vic & Coco will be released on Tuesday, March 2, 2027.
