Breaking News: Marvel Just Officially Confirmed a Major Avengers Death
Marvel just confirmed a major Avengers death, as the publisher sets up a brand new era for the franchise. Not only that, but fans learn the team will disband.
In several of today's new comics, Marvel has included a preview for the upcoming Avengers #1, which will begin a new volume of the series. In the preview, Spider-Man mentions recent events from the Avengers: Armageddon event that haven't yet taken place. These include:
- [CENSORED] dying
- Cap almost dying
- Tony [CENSORED]
- The Avengers disbanding
- A legal and social push against superhumans
Previously, fans believed that the entire roster of classic Avengers might be killed off, or at least shunted into a side dimension. It appears only one member will actually be killed, though the consequences will be disastrous, destroying the team as it currently exists.
