How long is Marvel's Wolverine? Hours needed to beat explained

Marvel’s Wolverine is hitting PlayStation 5 consoles this week, giving players a new cinematic adventure for X-Men fans everywhere to sink their claws into.

But if you’re planning to start this globe-trotting quest with the rest of Team X as soon as the game is out, then you’re going to need to set a decent amount of time aside in order to take down Bolivar Trask and his mutant-abducting tendencies.

And if you want to know our thoughts on the game and everything Wolverine-related, then these articles just might be for you:

But back to the real question – just how long is Marvel’s Wolverine? Keep reading to find out everything you need to know about Insomniac’s latest release.

How long is Marvel’s Wolverine? Game length explained

Marvel’s Wolverine will take you around 18 hours to complete the main story and attempt every Nightmare Door along the way. However, for you non-completionists you could definitely shave a few hours of time off on a more efficient run.

Although, that being said, if you’re anything like me and you’re a sucker for collectibles, then rummaging through all the material chests and collecting as many whisky bottles as you can muster will certainly add more hours of gameplay.

This lines up with previous Insomniac games, such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which takes around 17-19 hours to finish the main story alone, with an estimated 30 hours total to complete all the side content, map objectives and collect all the trophies in the game.

The same goes for Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man, with a total 36 hours of gameplay if you try to go for 100 per cent completion.

However, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales seems to be the outlier, with only eight hours needed to complete the main story, and a maximum of 14-18 hours to complete any extra missions and grab any last-minute collectibles.

This possibly prompted Insomniac to add The City That Never Sleeps DLC to the game, which added another six hours to the main narrative.

But forget everyone’s favourite web-slinger! Marvel’s Wolverine is launching on 15 September exclusively on the PS5, with pre-orders live now.
