Uli Latukefu is Playing Ganondorf in the Zelda Live-Action Adaptation

The information about Ganondorf’s casting in The Legend of Zelda movie comes from The New York Times’ Kyle Buchanan. In his latest post on X (formerly Twitter), Buchanan informed players that Uli Latufeku will be taking on the role of the main antagonist of the series. Latufeku has been featured across various movies and TV shows since 2014, including Black Adam, Alien: Covenant, Young Rock, Countdown, and more.

Latufeku has some big shoes to fill with Ganondorf, who is the main antagonist of The Legend of Zelda series. Ganondorf first appeared in the original Legend of Zelda game as a monster and made his first human-like appearance in Ocarina of Time. Although he was absent from the mainline installments for a while, he made a comeback in the latest game, Tears of the Kingdom. As a member of the Gerudo tribe, Ganondorf possesses powerful magical abilities and is known as a warlord. He has been a persistent adversary for Link across multiple timelines.
