Overwatch x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Collab is Coming Next Year

Characters from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners universe will enter the world of Overwatch very soon, the CD PROJEKT RED team shared. Right after they stated that their legendary title, Cyberpunk 2077, would be coming to Blizzard's gaming platform, Battle.net, the team got the audience gasping, screaming, and clapping at their Overwatch collab announcement. 

"We've been checking everything, and we noticed that everyone would love to see an Overwatch and Cyberpunk collaboration, so yes, we're doing that, it's coming next year. Stay tuned for super big details coming later," said Amelia Korzycka, Expert Community and Social Media Manager at CD PROJEKT RED.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 airs on 20 October 2026 on Netflix. One of the show's new characters, Talia Yang, is going to make an appearance in the Cyberpunk x Overwatch collaboration. Another character to enter the Overwatch universe is David Martinez, whom we got to know back in 2022 when the show premiered.

It's still unclear whether any other Cyberpunk characters will be joining Dave and Talia, or what their role in the Overwatch universe will be. The date we see the crossover is kept secret as well: all we know is that it's happening sometime in 2027.

This is not the first collaboration for both titles. Earlier this year, we got a crossover between Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Wuthering Waves. Overwatch has a long, rich history of collaborating with numerous games, shows, brands, and more. Those include One-Punch Man, Persona 5, Hello Kitty, Street Fighter 6, Diablo IV, and others. Speaking of the latter, at BlizzCon 2026, the new title in the series was announced.
