Apple TV's 3-Part Masterpiece Officially Returns With New Episodes This Week
Ted Lasso Season 4 Episode Schedule: Full Apple TV Release Plan
Despite its original three-season plan and a season finale that appeared to conclude the entire series, Ted Lasso is officially back. The wholesome sports series is introducing an all-new women's football team in its upcoming season, a pivot that will allow the show to open a new chapter while still preserving much of what has long made it such a success.
Given its new focus, Ted Lasso season 4 will say goodbye to many fan-favorite AFC Richmond players, at least in a main character capacity. The new season will, however, feature many returning Ted Lasso cast members. Beyond the titular Ted and his trademark positivity, promotional materials for season 4 also haven't been shy about featuring Roy Kent, Coach Beard, Rebecca, and Keeley.
Just as much of a draw, though, are the slew of fresh faces Ted and company will be coaching. When Coach Beard, quoting the catchphrase of Dani Rojas, suggests that "football is life", one of the show's new players responds, "No. Life is so much more than football." Already, Ted Lasso season 4 is promising to break new ground in the show's characters, stories, and perspectives.
Ted Lasso Season 4 Premieres Wednesday, August 5, on Apple TV
In spite of the apparent closure of Ted Lasso's season 3 finale, the Apple TV original officially returns to the streamer with brand-new episodes beginning on Wednesday, August 5.
In the time since Ted Lasso season 3, Apple TV has grown both its viewership and its library of critically acclaimed titles. Last year, Ted Lasso lost the title of the streamer's most-watched series of all time to Vince Gilligan's Pluribus. Now, Ted Lasso's return comes more than a month after the first season of the quickly-renewed Widow's Bay, Apple TV's most-talked-about new release of the year so far.
Ted Lasso showrunner Bill Lawrence has seen similar success in the wake of the show's hiatus. In 2023, Lawrence, Jason Segel, and Ted Lasso's own Brett Goldstein co-created Shrinking, another one of Apple TV's most popular titles. Earlier this year, Lawrence co-created yet another feel-good comedy with a Ted Lasso alum in its ensemble: HBO's Rooster.
Yet even as both Bill Lawrence and Apple TV continue to solidify their reputations for producing well-received, high-quality series, Ted Lasso remains among their most beloved titles.
What Time New Episodes Of Ted Lasso Release On Apple TV Every Week
The season 4 premiere is scheduled to drop at midnight PST/3:00 am EST Wednesday. However, the platform has, on occasion, been known to release episodes even earlier. It's possible that the season premiere will become available as soon as 6 pm PST/9 pm EST Tuesday.
Ted Lasso's ten-episode fourth season will continue to release a new episode every Wednesday until its season finale on Wednesday, October 7. Like the premiere, it is certainly possible that the rest of Ted Lasso season 4 will follow in the footsteps of other Apple TV releases and become available to stream on Tuesday evenings.

Though many details surrounding season 4 are yet to be revealed, some consistency with past seasons will persist behind the camera as well as in front of it.
