Resident Evil's Ashley Could Be Returning In A Different Game

Fans Are Split Over Dead By Daylight Leak Suggesting The Return Of Resi's Ashley Graham

After Dead By Daylight shattered its player count record over a decade after release thanks to the release of its latest DLC featuring none other than Jason Vorheese as a new killer, fans are already looking forward to what collaboration the series has to offer next. Although Dead By Daylight isn't exactly starved for choices when it comes to which iconic horror property they want to pull from next, a recent leak might have already spoiled the surprise.

Although this would be far from the first time the iconic survival-horror series has made its way into the even more nightmarish world of Dead By Daylight, the promising leak has already been met with a mixed reaction from fans, and it's not hard to see why.

Dead By Daylight Fans Are Still On The Fence

In a post shared by X user TheOtherFley, the latest DBD leak showcases an image of an Ashley Graham skin for Jill Valentine, which also lists a release date for sometime in 2027. Although fans have been thrilled by the idea of Resident Evil returning to the isometric horror game yet again, some players are more than a little skeptical over the authenticity of the leak.

Aside from the fact that the leak doesn't have an official source and even directly tags Capcom USA's X account, some users are responding by sharing their "doubts about it" over the fact that the leak uses the exact same image as the previous DBD collaboration with Silent Hill F.

With the initial leak already facing plenty of scrutiny over these inconsistencies, many fans are declaring that they are "NOT falling for this a second time" after numerous fake character leaks in the past, not to mention the fact that fans agree "they would definitely give that to Rebecca Chambers not Jill" considering her personality and demeanor are far more of a better fit than the more experienced S.T.A.R.S. member.

More Resident Evil Collaborations Would Hardly Be A Surprise

Even if the supposed Dead By Daylight leak turns out to be a complete hoax, one silver lining is that it clearly shows how much demand there is for future Resident Evil collaborations moving forward for the series, with many fans lamenting in unison that "this better be real."

Considering not only how widely popular the Resident Evil series is, but also the fact that Dead By Daylight's previous crossovers and cosmetics with the legendary survival horror series are widely considered to be the best collaborations it has to offer, it would be fantastic to see future partnerships between the two horror giants.

Although Dead by Daylight fans have been requesting Ashley Graham to make her way into the game for years at this point, the latest release of Resident Evil Requiem offers even more character concepts to pull from, which will hopefully get revisited after the upcoming Art the Clown DLC.
