Xbox Insider update adds local save management tools and Home tweaks

Xbox console updates continue to roll out fast from Microsoft. The second Xbox Insider update of the month is now starting to roll out, and it's bringing more Home control, better local game save management, a profile badge update, and more.

The Home page is getting more customizable, with any item in the Recent Games and Apps list soon being removable. Players will even be able to hide the Play History tile. Meanwhile, pressing the right thumb stick while on the Home page will fade out the UI to bring the selected Xbox background to the front.

Next, local game save storage is being upgraded to have more control. Local saves that aren't in use can be sorted and deleted at any time, letting Insiders clear up space more easily. This can be accessed by heading to "Settings > System > Storage > Manage local game saves." Of course, any synced saves in the cloud will remain untouched.

At the same time, Xbox Profile Badges are getting more detailed information when viewing them on a profile. Selecting them will show high-resolution artwork and details about how and when it was unlocked. Jumping over to a smaller but appreciated change, when a user purchases a game, that will now disappear off the Xbox wishlist if it was already there.

Lastly, Microsoft is giving a treat to those who logged into their Xbox One consoles on November 22, 2013, the day of launch. To mark the occasion, anyone who received the elusive Day One achievement that day is now getting a commemorative Day One profile badge to show off.
