Fortnite Override trailer confirms battle pass skins and release date
Epic Games has released the trailer for Chapter 7, Season 4 of Fortnite Override and it includes not only a release date, but major gaming collaborations.
In the trailer that dropped yesterday, characters making their Fortnite debut included Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Sonic and many more, with further franchises like Tetris also making an appearance.
Besides these cult gaming classics, it appears that skins for Persona 5 characters were also revealed, allowing players to achieve a victory royale as Joker.
The official trailer comes after a leak of the season appeared online as a result of Epic Games sending teaser packages to streamers.
View oEmbed on the source websiteDespite this, the trailer revealed new information with different areas for players to explore, including Green Hill Zone from Sonic and even a Pac-Man ghost inspired location.
Blasters from Mega Man are weapons, items have become Tails themed and building materials have been transformed into Tetris blocks.
View Green Video on the source websiteHowever, despite this huge cross-collaboration, keep in mind it has not yet been confirmed that all the characters featured will become skins.
The new season will launch in a few days on 20 August and with the trailer garnering 1.5 million views already, it’s clear that hype is building around this Smash Bros-level collab.
