Michael Fassbender's Action-Packed Thriller Series' Fate Reportedly Revealed

Michael Fassbender's future with The Agency finally has an update.

Inspired by the French Le Bureau des Legendes and starring Fassbender as CIA officer Martian, the high-stakes thriller was created by sibling duo Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth. It debuted on Paramount+ and Showtime in December 2024, receiving a swift renewal due to strong viewership. The notable cast also includes Jodie Turner-Smith, Jeffrey Wright and Richard Gere.

The Agency season 2 returned in June. There have been no updates about the show's future since then. But according to a new report from The Ankler's Lesley Goldberg, the Fassbender spy saga is among the Paramount+ Originals that are slated to return.
