Big Brother 28: Week 3 Power of Veto Results (SPOILERS)
Big Brother 28's third week seemed like it may be a bit less exciting than the last, but with Kamu in power and a potential backdoor looming, the Power of Veto has become an important part of the HOH's overall plan. After the Toolshed alliance spent the last two weeks in power, many felt ready for a change, but Kamu won the third HOH competition of the summer, which left the large power alliance in charge. After Rome was backdoored and evicted last week, the rest of the house was on pins and needles wondering who Kamu would put up.
Kamu, who's aligned with Survivor alums Rick Devens and Dee Valladres along with BB alum Angela Murray, Haley, Chuk, Drew, and Barrett, has the majority of the house on his side, which means whatever he wants to happen this week is probably the most likely scenario. While he felt that he may initially choose to put up Lyric, Mallory, and Jason in order to target Jason, Kamu was advised by Drew to put someone else on the block and attempt to backdoor Jason, only giving him one chance to save himself in the game. Unfortunately, Big Brother had other plans.
When picks for the Veto competition were drawn on Saturday morning, it became clear that Kamu's plan may not be as easily achievable as he expected. Along with Kamu and nominees Lyric, Mallory, and LaTrice, Jason and Haley were selected to play in the Veto competition. While there was still a fair chance that Jason wouldn't win the competition, it was also possible that Big Brother could see the week three target walking away with his safety in hand. With the target up in the air going into the week's competition, the Power of Veto was incredibly important to secure.
Lyric Won Big Brother 28's Week 3 Power Of Veto Competition
Although the competition itself won't air until the Wednesday episode of Big Brother, the show's live feeds returned to reveal that Lyric won the Power of Veto. Prior to the competition, Kamu spoke to many of his fellow houseguests to see what they would think about the Veto being won and used, and though there were some mixed reactions, it was clear that most would be on board with a Jason backdoor as the plan for the week. Even with the Blockbuster, putting Jason on the block was the target, which can happen if Lyric takes herself off the block.
Throughout Big Brother 28 thus far, the Toolshed alliance has been making it clear that they're the group to beat in the competition, but it's possible that the alliance is fracturing at its base. While there isn't much of a reason for the alliance to separate yet when they've been playing together successfully, the group is bound to face adversity in the coming weeks. With Lyric winning the Power of Veto, the Toolshed may be shaken up sooner rather than later, making this week more interesting than it initially seemed. Big Brother 28's week 3 Veto competition should provide a huge shift.
