Pokémon's 30th anniversary has been absolutely incredible so far, with numerous exciting announcements to celebrate the franchise's decades-long run. The biggest of these was undoubtedly the reveal of Pokémon Winds & Waves, the next mainline games in the series, which will bring players to a new open world of windswept islands and vast oceans when they launch worldwide on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.

Beyond that, fans are hyped for the massive Pokémon x Adidas collaboration arriving in September, with footwear inspired by favorites like Pikachu, Charizard, Gengar, Mewtwo, and Rayquaza. Meanwhile, the Pokémon TCG is getting its own 30th Celebration expansion on September 16, featuring an all-foil card lineup and 30 different Pikachu rares, with even more anniversary sets following later this year.

Add in new countless new Pokémon Center merchandise lines, the Pokémon x Target collection, special anniversary events, and the rerelease of Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen earlier this year, and 2026 has been a year for the record books. But there's yet another new collaboration in the works to mark Pokemon's 30th, and it features a fan-favorite Eeveelution (via SE).

Pokémon is teaming up with Polaroid for a new collection of instant cameras and film, and the standout for Eeveelution fans is easily the Sylveon Edition. The camera draws from Sylveon’s signature pink, white, and blue design and comes with a matching strap, featuring a slightly more subtle but more colorful look than the other models in the range.

The full lineup includes three cameras: the Sylveon Edition, a Pikachu Edition featuring Pikachu-inspired artwork and color schemes and an attached male Pikachu tail, and a classic Pokémon Edition designed around the red-and-white colors of a Poké Ball.

Pokemon Polaroid releases

Polaroid is also releasing special film packs with Pokémon-themed frames featuring characters such as Charmander, Snorlax, and Espeon. Each pack includes a collectible dark slide with a Pokémon silhouette, with Flareon, Squirtle, Mew, and Umbreon among the designs teased in the official announcement.

Preorders for the cameras and film open this coming Tuesday, August 25, 2026, through Polaroid and the official Pokémon Center store, with worldwide shipping expected to begin September 29, 2026. It's another great addition to the collectible lineup for Pokémon's ongoing 30th anniversary, and these are sure to be popular among hardcore fans.
