First Look At James Spader’s Ultron Return In VisionQuest Reveals Marvel Villain’s Human Form

Ultron comes back with a major change in VisionQuest.
VisionQuest is the third and final release in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's WandaVision trilogy. That road started with the 2021 series, which is widely regarded as one of the best MCU TV shows on Disney+, if not the very best, and continued through 2024's Agatha All Along, which brought back Kathyn Hahn's Agatha Harkness as an anti-hero. VisionQuest will build on WandaVision's ending, focusing on Paul Bettany's White Vision as he wrestles with memories of a past life he does not fully understand. This makes the Marvel project the perfect place for a massive MCU return.
On X, @PoppedNews shared the first look at James Spader's Ultron return, with half of his face machine and half human, at Marvel Television’s VisionQuest booth at 2026's D23. Ultron's new MCU appearance should spotlight his role as Vision's father, in a way, given that he was responsible for the creation of the body of the Marvel hero played by Bettany. WandaVision featured Vision in human form a lot of the time, and so seeing what Ultron looks like in that form continues that thread. Additionally, since the upcoming Marvel series focuses on Vision's psyche, Ultron's new look will be impactful.
