Genshin Impact: Where To Find Frostfairy Flower (Farming Locations)
Farming the Frostfairy Flower, a Local Resource in Genshin Impact, can be a tough endeavor if you don’t know where to look, and you’ll need a ton of them if you’re looking to upgrade certain characters from the Snezhnaya region. With the arrival of Version 7.0, developer HoYoverse finally introduced the Nation of Cryo as a playable region, and while only two new characters have been introduced in the patch, there are a lot more to come. Among the many confirmed Snezhnaya characters for Genshin Impact, some will use Frostfairy Flower in their Ascension process.
This is the case with the first 5-star character from the region. To fully build Odette in Genshin Impact, you’ll need to get her to level 90, and to do so, you’ll need to collect 168 Frostfairy Flowers from the Snezhnaya region. This will be the case with other Snezhnaya characters in the future, too. The issue is that there is a limited number of resource nodes on the map, and Local Resources only respawn after 48 hours in real life, so you’ll need to follow a farming route a few times.
All Frostfairy Flower Farming Locations In Genshin Impact
To optimize your gains, it’s good to know exactly where to find Frostfairy Flower. As of Version 7.0, there are 74 Frostfairy Flower locations in the currently available Snezhnaya map. To start farming, it’s best to go from north to south. You’ll find a large cluster of Frostfairy Flowers inside and on the path to the Sanctuary of Grief. You can also farm several Frostfairy Flower nodes inside Snezhnograd and near the Korolvskiy Theater. To the east, all around Pilgrimage to the Sacred Gorge, there are even more nodes to collect.
Once you’ve collected these clusters, proceed to the lower half of the map. Southeast of the Central Station is a small concentration of Frostfairy Flowers, and to the west of the train tracks between Rankova Zorya and the Central Station are a few more nodes to farm. The last cluster of Frostfairy Flowers can be found underground, in the Tidesong Cavern, in the southeastern portion of Snezhnaya. Using Alyosha in Genshin Impact can be useful, since he has a passive talent that highlights local resources on your minimap.
Considering that a character’s full Ascension process requires 168 Local Resources, and there are only 74 Frostfairy Flower nodes on the map, you’ll need to run this route twice, and then run it again partially if you don’t complete the character quest that gives you the materials. A good way of keeping track of the locations to farm Frostfairy Flowers is by using the official Interactive Map on HoYoLAB. There, you can select the Local Resource, and it will highlight exactly where the Frostfairy Flowers spawn on the map.
Farming Local Resources can be a time-consuming effort, but the earlier you start doing so, and the more diligent you are with your routes, the earlier you’ll be able to get your desired character to level 90. Frostfairy Flower is currently only usable by Odette, but expect to revisit these locations for upcoming character releases in Genshin Impact as the Snezhnaya region continues to expand with future patches.
