Armoured Mewtwo in Pokémon Go: Release date and how to get yours
It was announced at the big Pokémon XP fan event the other day that Armoured Mewtwo is due to return to Pokémon Go in the near future.
This version of the character is, of course, inspired by Mewtwo’s memorable metal-clad appearance in the 2019 film, Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back – Evolution.
But when exactly is it going to be available again in Pokémon Go, and how can you go about catching one for yourself? Keep on reading to find out, my friend.
When is Armoured Mewtwo in Pokémon Go? Release date confirmed
Armoured Mewtwo will return to Pokémon Go on Saturday 5 September and Sunday 6 September.
On both of those days, you’ll want to jump into the game between 10am and 6pm in your local time, if you want to get your hands on an Armoured Mewtwo.

How to get Armoured Mewtwo in Pokémon Go explained
To get an Armoured Mewtwo in Pokémon Go this weekend, you’ll have to defeat one in a Five-Star Raid.
As ever, after your raid group has been victorious in the battle against Armoured Mewtwo, you’ll each get the opportunity to catch one for yourself.
Armoured Mewtwo is a Psychic-type Pokémon, which means its weaknesses are Bug, Dark and Ghost-type Pokémon.
On the flip-side of that, Armoured Mewtwo is resistant to Fighting and Psychic-type Pokémon, so you’ll want to choose your counters wisely this weekend!
