I’m consistently impressed with how everything from Tomb Raider to Final Fantasy 7: Remake Intergrade runs on the platform. Now, the lineup of popular games playable on the Nintendo Switch 2 has another new addition. 1000xResist, a highly-rated sci-fi action-adventure from 2024, is now available on the Nintendo Switch 2. Even better, the new Nintendo Switch 2 edition is available with a 40% off launch discount.
Since it launched back in May 2024, 1000xResist has achieved the highly coveted Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam. Its captivating sci-fi story has been praised as one of gaming’s most ambitious narratives. Alongside the PC release, 1000xResist is also available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and the original Nintendo Switch. Now, two years later, the game is getting a massive upgrade in the form of a brand-new dedicated Switch 2 edition. This upgrade will let Switch 2 owners enjoy the game’s captivating story and engaging adventure mechanics as they were meant to be experienced.
1000xResist Gets Massive Visual Upgrade Without a Higher Price Tag in New Switch 2 Edition
1000xResist offers an engaging, single-player sci-fi adventure with a story that isn’t afraid to take risks. Based on its critical and fan reception, those risks were well worth it, and the game’s storytelling has received high praise. It blends 3rd person adventure, puzzle-solving, and visual novel elements to tell its story, with fully voiced characters that bring the narrative to life. And now, it’s getting a serious upgrade for the Nintendo Switch 2.
While 1000xResist did release for Nintendo Switch back in 2024, it did so with significant “technical compromises” due to the aging console’s limitations. Now, the new Switch 2 edition delivers the immersive story the way it was intended to be played. The Switch 2 version of 1000xResist offers highly improved visuals and performance compared to the Switch version of the game. And it’s available in the Nintendo eShop right now.
Better yet, the game’s Switch 2 edition doesn’t have a hefty price increase. Instead, 1000xResist is priced at just $20 USD, the same price as the game’s Switch edition. Those who already own the game for Nintendo Switch will be able to upgrade to the new and improved version entirely for free. This will allow those who’ve upgraded to a Switch 2 to experience 1000xResist with an enhanced framerate and better resolution, all without paying more for the game. Specifically, the Switch 2 edition offers 30 FPS in TV, tabletop, and handheld mode. In TV mode, 1000xResist will hit 4K resolution, with full HD available for tabletop and handheld. At launch, 1000xResist is discounted at an impressive 40% off the list price. That means the game, which normally costs $20 USD, is just $12 USD now through September 11th. Compared to many Switch 2 editions, which come with a higher price tag, that’s a serious deal. Along with this announcement, Fangamer also confirmed it will offer physical versions of 1000xResist for the Nintendo Switch 2 and PS5. The standard and deluxe physical editions of the game are available for pre-order now, so if you prefer your media physical over digital, you can snag the award-winning sci-fi story on a disc.
