A New Naruto Game Could Be Officially Revealed In October
A Naruto Project Is Being Announced At Comic-Con, And It Could Be A New Game
A new Naruto project has been confirmed to be announced at New York Comic-Con in October, and it could be a new game that was previously hinted at.
The last couple of years have been a very good time if you’re a fan of anime and gaming. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is unarguably the biggest hit of the bunch, but we’ve also had Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2, Bleach Rebirth of Souls, and even a bizarre Vampire Survivors clone for Jujutsu Kaisen.
Sadly, Naruto fans in particular haven’t been having the best time, as there hasn’t been a new game since 2023’s Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, which most don’t view as a full-fledged entry in the series. That was suggested to be changing in the near future, and we might be getting our first look at it sooner than you’d think.
Naruto Project Teased For October Reveal, And It Might Be A New Game
It Could Also Be A New Anime, But Fingers Crossed
Earlier this year, TV Tokyo, one of the rights holders for the Naruto anime, confirmed that the franchise’s 25th anniversary in 2027 will start a “new phase” for Naruto. That phase includes “films and games developed by new partners”, confirming that a new game is in development and seemingly not being done by CyberConnect2.
With that in mind, it’s pretty interesting to learn that a new Naruto project has been confirmed for reveal at New York Comic-Con on October 10. A countdown has appeared on the official Naruto site, suggesting that what’s going to be revealed is quite a big deal and worth hyping up. The site also links to the NYCC panel, giving us a bit more detail.
The panel, titled “Naruto: What’s Next?”, will provide an exclusive look at “the latest updates on the anime”, the Naruto Card Game, and “other exciting new projects”. Overall, a new roadmap for “the future of the Naruto universe” is being shared, so it sounds like we’re going to get quite a few big reveals at the event.
New York Comic-Con’s listing confirms that an update on the anime is being shared, but announcing a new game would certainly fit the “exciting new projects” part. It’s certainly been long enough, and we know something is in the works and seemingly not too far off, so October 10 seems like the perfect time to announce it to the world.
