Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse Trailer Leak Gets Official Response From Marvel Writer

Miles Morales is hit by Spider-Man 2099 in kaleidoscope-lie animation in Spider-Man Beyond the Spider-Verse

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is the latest victim of hacking.

Writer Christopher Miller has officially responded following leaks of the Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse trailer, which has circulated on social media, accumulating millions of views. Miller shared his reaction on X after fans reacted to the surprising leak, which many began complaining about because the style does not look as polished as many expected from the animated movies. However, Miller has made it clear that it's an unfinished project:

"Not a fan of leaks of unfinished, not fully rendered footage."

The leak had four minutes and 40 seconds of new footage for the Sony Pictures Animation release and has spread across social media platforms such as X. The footage remains on the platform, with more and more accounts sharing what appears to be the Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse trailer. The footage kicks off with the last moments from Across the Spider-Verse, as Miles Morales (played by Shameik Moore) is confronted by his Uncle Aaron and himself in an alternate reality.

As Miller has stated, the leaked footage is unfinished, and it's unclear when Sony had planned to release the official trailer, as the leak appears to be the first four minutes of the upcoming movie rather than a full-length trailer that fans are used to seeing. The last minute shows some action sequences, including reunions with Gwen and Miles' parents. However, it's unclear if this is even close to what Sony have in store for the official Beyond the Spider-Verse trailer.
