Valheim Left Early Access After 5 Years

Valheim captured players' attention from the very start, and if you're not a fan and don't follow too closely, you might expect it to be over 5 years old already, but the game is celebrating its official birthday today: Valheim 1.0 has just been released.
With the new Deep North biome and countless changes since its early access, Valheim offers as much fun as ever, and if you somehow missed the hype, it's a great chance to see what so many people see in it.
Version 1.0 brings:

If you are already a faithful player, you can continue with your old save file, although biome generation will only work properly on areas that have not yet been explored, so it's best to start anew.
Mod lovers will likely have to wait until their makers upgrade them to the new version, as the game has no official mod support.
Iron Gate promises to continue improving the game with bug fixes and quality-of-life updates, but the studio can't say whether more content will be added in the future.
Starting with the 1.0 release, you will be able to purchase Valheim on Steam for Windows, Linux and Mac, in the Mac App Store for Mac, in the Humble Store for Windows, Linux and Mac, and in the Microsoft Store for Windows. Valheim will also be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
If you had the early access version, it will just be updated, but others will have to buy it at a new price of $29.99.
Over 5 years ago, Valheim saw 502,387 concurrent players. Now, the number is 140,222, and it's getting higher.
