Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 on Switch: Release date, pre-orders and what to expect
Resident Evil is continuing its foray onto Nintendo consoles with Resi 2, 3 and 4 remakes all coming to Nintendo Switch 2.
Announced at the September Nintendo Direct, it was confirmed that the trio of titles are coming to the console very soon indeed.
So, when are Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 releasing on Nintendo Switch, and what do you need to know? Let's get into it.
When do Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 release on Nintendo Switch 2.
Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 release simultaneously on Nintendo Switch 2 on 16 October 2026.
While they are all releasing together, it should be noted that this isn't as part of a bundle like Super Mario All-Stars or the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy of a few years ago.
If you want to get your hands on the three games, you'll need to buy them all separately – each game even costs a different amount!

Yes, pre-orders are now open for all three games on Nintendo Switch 2.

What to expect from Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 on Nintendo Switch 2
The three games being ported are the remakes of 2, 3 and 4 that were initially released between 2019 and 2023 – not the original titles, which are already available on Switch.
Resident Evil 3 is the only one of the three to just be ported to the system without a specific edition included, and comes with Jill's Classic Costume and Carlos's Classic Hair as cosmetic bonuses.
On the other hand, the other two titles are only available as Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition.
The Deluxe Edition of RE2 includes three Leon costumes, four Claire costumes, three Deluxe Weapon skins and the ability to use the original RE2 soundtrack in-game.
The RE4 Gold Edition includes the Separate Ways additional scenario and The Mercenaries game, its own soundtrack swap and a Treasure Map expansion.
It also includes its own cosmetic bonuses in the form of two Leon & Ashley costumes, two Leon Costumes & Filters, some sunglasses for Leon, three Deluxe Weapon skins, two Attaché Cases and two Charms.
