Cyberpunk 2077 2.5 lets you cosplay as Geralt from The Witcher, and even includes his iconic sword

Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.5 has finally added several features players have wanted for years, making an already great RPG even better.

While CD Projekt Red was very transparent in what was being added to the game (though in fairness it had no choice since it was leaked beforehand), the studio has kept some stuff under wraps.

It turns out Cyberpunk 2077 now has some sweet, new gear inspired by The Witcher series, including Geralt’s sleek silver sword designed for felling the most-dangerous monsters around.

What Witcher gear has been added to Cyberpunk 2077 and where to find it

As shared by Synth Potato, items inspired by The Witcher III: Wild Hunt include the Ursine Pants and Jacket, which resemble the leather and armoured ensemble Geralt wears on his adventures. It’s been tweaked for the more modern setting of Cyberpunk 2077, of course, but it still looks roughly the same.

The description for the outfit teases it to be from “an age of silver and steel”, which is a nice touch.

More exciting, however, is the Sihil sword, which is modelled after Geralt’s famous silver sword. The blade is designed for supernatural entities, but it works just fine on the cyberpsychos of Night City too. The Boar Carver is also included, the small knife Geralt would use as a utility tool rather than a weapon.

Finally, the Professor Spectacles are a nod to Professor Tomas Moreau from The Witcher III’s Blood and Wine DLC expansion.

To get these new items, all you need to do is follow Ariadne’s questline. She’ll get in touch via text messages and will simply send you the Witcher goodies. No high-speed chases or boss fights required.

Once she lets you know they’re ready and waiting in your apartment, head back there and check the stash next to the apartment entrance. The gear will be found inside.

After that, there’s only one thing left to do. Don your new look, grab your new sword by the hilt and cause a bit of mayhem. Doing bounty hunter missions as Geralt feels like a must for any Cyberpunk 2077 player right now.

Does Cyberpunk 2077 2.5 tease The Witcher 4?

Now we knew this would be a question on gamer’s minds when news broke of the new Witcher gear.

Unfortunately, no clues have been found on CD Projekt Red’s next project as of yet, but given how sneaky the devs were with these Witcher-inspired freebies, there might be something out there waiting to be found.

It’s still early days for the 2.5 update, so if there is something alluding to the next Witcher game it’ll no doubt be found in the next couple of weeks.
