Star Wars is one of the most iconic movie franchises in history. To that end, fans had been asking for a new Star Wars movie to be released for several years. Prior to 2026, the last cinematic entry in the franchise had been Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which arrived in theaters in 2019 to put an end to the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy. Earlier this year, one of Disney+'s best TV shows, The Mandalorian, made the jump to the big screen to revitalize the Star Wars franchise. Now, The Mandalorian and Grogu will come full circle.
According to a new listing on Disney+, The Mandalorian and Grogu will finally arrive on the streaming service on Wednesday, September 2. The latest Star Wars movie was released in theaters on May 22. As such, The Mandalorian and Grogu will arrive on Disney+ exactly 103 days after its theatrical release, a little over three months later. Right now, The Mandalorian fans can already enjoy the sci-fi movie from their home by renting or buying the film in the usual VOD stores. For physical media enthusiasts, The Mandalorian and Grogu releases on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on August 25.
