Red Dead Redemption 2 immersive new mode lets you run your own business in-game

Red Dead Redemption 2 players can now download a brand new immersive game mode for the PC version, which introduces business management aspects to the game.

The base version of Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most immersive and realistic games we’ve ever played, and modders have taken that even further with loads of new systems and features.

Mods that change fundamental aspects of the game are available to download for the PC version, with some of the best Red Dead Redemption 2 mods completely transforming it into a new experience.

One mod that players may fancy downloading is RDR2 Business Empire, a brand new expansion which adds a brand new way to engage with the game’s mechanics.

The mod allows you to purchase businesses across the Red Dead Redemption 2 world and manage them. Instead of earning money through missions, hunting, or robberies, you can now make a more legitimate living through these businesses.

This includes earning dynamic revenue, managing staff, securing supplies, and fiddling around with other options like pricing, upgrades, expenses, and reputation, ultimately building this for roleplay immersion in the single-player.

According to modder NIGAMDAS89, the intention for this is to “make businesses feel like part of the actual RDR2 world rather than a detached passive-income menu.”

The supported businesses in the mod include various shops like general stores, butchers, gunsmiths, tailors, and fences. Saloons, hotels, and doctors' offices are also included here. More lavish businesses such as photo studios and entertainment venues are also supported.

The foundation of the mod is designed in such a way that different locations that use the same business type are able to have different prices, staff limits, customer demand, and profitability, so there’s a lot of potential to branch out with owning various businesses.

Altogether, there are a huge number of different variables that you can control using this mod, essentially turning Red Dead Redemption 2 into a business management tycoon game that goes beyond games like Fable or Skyrim.
