Embracer Group Expects Next Kingdom Come Soon

Embracer Group Expects Next Kingdom Come Sooner Than You Might Think

Also, Darksiders 4 and Tomb Raider: Catalyst.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was a huge hit (and my personal game of the year), and Embracer Group, the parent company of the sequel's publisher Deep Silver, already expects more.

In its interim report, the company says it wants to see the next Kingdom Come game in FY 2027/28, so Warhorse Studios has its hands full already, it seems. Moreover, Embracer expects Darksiders 4 and Tomb Raider: Catalyst to come out in the same period.

"In May, we revealed that Warhorse Studios, the team behind Kingdom Come, is making a new game, set in Middle-earth. It was a truly exciting moment for our teams to see how the news resonated with fans across the globe. It offered a glimpse into the potential for our IPs and our studios if we do things right."

Embracer reported that the planned spin-off of Fellowship Entertainment is progressing well toward 2027.

While Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 "drove a significant catalog net sales contribution" in Q1 last year, Embracer is doing fine with its other titles, increasing net sales by 24% to SEK 3,943 million (about $412 million).

Its total headcount dropped to 4,991 from last year's 6,261, which is unsurprising, as the company is still working on its restructuring efforts.

Are you looking forward to the new Kingdom Come?
