Disney App Seemingly Confirms Kingdom Hearts 4 News At D23

Kingdom Hearts 4 At D23 Seems Certain As App Leaks Co-Director And Voice Actors

The official D23 app has all but confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 4 is going to appear at the series Deep Dive event, as profiles were found for the game’s co-director and major voice actors.

After more than four years of waiting for Kingdom Hearts news, Square Enix has recently decided to finally give fans something to look forward to. June’s Nintendo Direct not only confirmed a Kingdom Hearts Collection for Switch 2, but also gave us the second trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4.

Since then, it’s looked like Kingdom Hearts 4’s marketing is finally about to begin in earnest, especially with a D23 panel about the series seeming like the perfect stage for an announcement. Everyone was already pretty sure that Kingdom Hearts 4 was going to be there, and now the event’s app seems to have confirmed it.

D23 App Suggests Kingdom Hearts 4’s Co-Director Will Be At The Panel

Sora And Riku’s Voice Actors Will Also Be There

As pointed out by Kingdom Hearts Insider, D23 app users recently discovered three very interesting profiles that could be found with a bit of searching. Those profiles include Tai Yasue, long-term co-director for the Kingdom Hearts series, Sora’s voice actor Haley Joel Osment, and Riku’s voice actor David Gallagher.

These three being in the D23 app all but confirms that they’ll be making an appearance at the Deep Dive panel for D23. It’s a very stacked lineup for the event considering how important all three are to the series and, while you could argue that they’re just there to talk about the past, it seems more likely it’s linked to Kingdom Hearts 4.

It’s possible that we might get our first look at Riku in Kingdom Hearts 4 at the event, as well as potentially even footage of the English dub.

This is made most obvious by the D23 app’s description for Tai Yasue, which directly mentions that he’s going to be co-directing Kingdom Hearts 4. This suggests the game itself has a presence at the event, which is the first time that it’s been outright referenced in relation to D23 outside of all the fan speculation.

To make matters even more interesting, all three of the profiles have since been removed from the app, suggesting that they weren’t meant to be seen this early. I don’t want to get us all too worked up, but it really does seem like we’re about to get some big Kingdom Hearts 4 news and not just info on the Fortnite collab.
